They affirm commitment to cooperating in the effort to build Ho Chi Minh City into a leading international financial hub in the region.

Ho Chi Minh City is home to over 14 million people and contributing nearly 25% of Vietnam’s GDP.

At the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh called on Japanese prefectures and enterprises to continue trusting and supporting Vietnam on its development journey, contributing to the prosperity of both nations and their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The positive results are attributed to the implementation of the 2024 Social Insurance Law, which took effect on July 1 this year.

The Government has proposed piloting special mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City, including the establishment of a Free Trade Zone.

New regulations will be applicable to the import of used technological production lines, equipment, machinery, and tools that serve training and R&D activities for digital technology products and services; or that directly serve semiconductor chip manufacturing, packaging, and testing projects.
