On September 6, at the regular government meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh noted 12 outstanding results in socio-economic development over the past eight months, such as vibrant trade and services, rapid recovery in all industries, investment capital from society continuing to increase, business development achieving positive results, and public debt and government debt continuing to decline, etc.

Reporting to the regular government meeting on September 6, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that the domestic economy recovered in the first eight months of the year, maintaining macro-economic stability and major balances. The economic recovery and development program has disbursed more than VND55 trillion ($2.34 billion) since the beginning of the year.

Under its plan on traffic and traffic safety in the 2022-2025 period, Hanoi will continue to expand its public transport network and limit the number of private vehicles on the road to ease congestion and curb environmental pollution. By 2025, public transport is to meet 30-35 per cent of travel needs.

Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung is visiting Japan to strengthen labor cooperation between the two countries. The two have agreed to expand the number of Vietnamese workers going to Japan.

The “Synchronized mechanization towards sustainable agriculture” conference held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in cooperation with the German Agricultural Society (DLG) and the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) heard from analysts that the domestic production of machinery for agricultural production is yet to meet requirements and has only been concentrated in a few stages and on key products. Mechanization is also not suitable for many crops.

At a meeting with leaders of south-central Binh Thuan province on August 31, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested a number of key tasks and solutions for the province to undertake, in which it is necessary to focus on socio-economic infrastructure development, especially synchronous and modern transport infrastructure, to establish better links both within and between regions. He also mentioned it is necessary to study and expand Phan Thiet city and to build an airport.
