General Secretary and State President To Lam underscored that the Vietnam–US relationship must make more practical contributions to each nation's goals of development, security, and prosperity, noting that the trust built over decades needs to be continually reinforced with concrete cooperation outcomes.

Localities are to build a portfolio of priority projects for investment attraction that align with their potential, advantages, and regional and local development orientations.

The meetings took place on September 21 (local time) during the top Vietnamese leader’s trip to the US to attend the High-Level General Debate of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly and conduct bilateral activities.

During the meeting, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President To Lam stressed that economic, trade and investment cooperation is one of the most important pillars of bilateral relations, directly benefiting businesses and people and contributing to the development of both countries.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technoloy Hoang Minh said the proposed amendments would abolish 18 administrative procedures and reduce five business conditions, making it easier for individuals and businesses to register, establish and exercise intellectual property rights.

These projects having combined investment capital of more than VND2.5 quadrillion ($95 billion).
