Vietnam’s shrimp exports in the first nine months of 2025 reached over $3.4 billion, up 22% year-on-year, marking the highest growth in three years, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
The results highlight the industry’s strong recovery after a challenging period, reflecting Vietnamese exporters’ resilience and adaptability amid global market fluctuations.
Whiteleg shrimp remained the primary export product, bringing in over $2.2 billion and accounting for 65% of total export value — an increase of 9% from a year earlier.
China and Hong Kong (China) continued to be the largest markets, with combined export value reaching $966 million, up 65% year-on-year, and accounting for nearly 30% of total revenue. The United States ranked third with $587 million, up 4%.
