Total retail sales of consumer products and services in northern Hai Phong port city in the past 10 months of the year reached over VND185.5 trillion ($7.28 billion), according to the city’s Department of Industry and Trade.
The figure marks a year-on-year growth of 13.5% and is equivalent to 83.4% of the annual plan.
Of which, total retail sale of products was estimated at more than VND154.2 trillion ($6.05 billion), up 14.05% year-on-year.
The city targets the total retail sales of consumer products and services in 2024 at over VND222.5 trillion ($8.7 billion).
The city also enjoyed positive growth in other economic indicators during the 10-month period.
More than 7.8 million tourists visited the city, up 14.1% year-on-year. Total tourism revenue reached over VND9.4 trillion ($369 million).
The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) of the city rose 14% year-on-year.
