2022 trade expected to hit new record
According to the latest data from the General Department of Customs, the total value of imports and exports during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday from January 29 to February 6 reached $3.05 billion, a sharp increase of 83 per cent compared to the 2021 Tet holiday. Many new records are likely to be set this year based on this performance. Exports have now reached 109 countries and territories, and as of February 6 Vietnam had posted a trade surplus of nearly $700 million this year.
