ACV airports welcome 114 million passengers in 2023

Anh Tú -

Recovery in Vietnam’s aviation sector failed to meet expectations last year.

Airports managed by Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) served 114 million passengers in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 15 per cent.

International passengers stood at 33 million, up 176 per cent compared to 2022.

Total cargo transported via these airports was estimated at over 1.2 trillion tons.

ACV’s total revenue was more than VND20 trillion ($833 million), up 26 per cent against 2022.

The Corporation said it will be difficult for the aviation sector to fully recover in 2024. While the international aviation market did recover in 2023, it failed to meet expectations. The domestic aviation market, meanwhile, began to show signs of decline from last April.

ACV is currently managing, investing in, and operating 22 airports around the country.
