The country is estimated to have handled 21.5 million foreign arrivals and served 135.5 million domestic trips, while total tourism revenue surpassed VND1 quadrillion ($40 billion) for the first time.
The number of passengers traveling by air to, from, and within the country is projected to double within the next decade, reaching more than 75 million annually.
In the second quarter of this year, Vietnam's passport moved up from 91st to 84th place, enabling holders to access 51 out of 227 countries and territories without a visa.
