The capital city has approved the Night-Time Economic Development Plan for 2026–2030, with a vision to 2045.

The northern port city has approved its socio-economic development plan for the 2026–2030 period with a target of two-digit annual growth rate.

At the event, a direct flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo was officially launched by Vietnam Airlines that is expected to commence operations in August 2026.
