Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has approved the task of General Planning for the Chi Ma border gate area in Loc Binh district, Lang Son province, which borders China, to be developed until 2045, covering a scale of 535 ha.
The research area for planning is located in the Northeast of Loc Binh district, encompassing Yen Khoai and Tu Mich communes.
The Chi Ma border gate features a main frontage coinciding with the Vietnam-China border, stretching approximately 5.8 km.
It is situated about 12 km from National Highway 4B and 37 km from Lang Son City, holding a significant position in the socio-economic and national defense fields of Lang Son province.
The planning objective is to develop the Chi Ma main border gate area into a dynamic, efficient, and internationally-intergrated economic zone, serving as a crucial growth pole in the East of Lang Son province.
The area aims to become a civilized, modern, and socially friendly urban zone; a center for border gate services, border trade; and national and international tourism services.
This will include a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, a comprehensive service network, and be attractive to investment, drawing labor while ensuring a green, clean, and sustainable environment.
