A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the road project on October 31.

Construction began on a major road project in northern Hung Yen Province on October 31.

The 24.8-km road will link Thai Binh Ward with Hung Ha Commune in the former province of Thai Bính (now part of Hung Yen province) and connecting to Pho Hien Ward in Hung Yen.

The project carries an estimated investment of more than VND4.9 trillion ($186 million).

It will be built in two phases, scheduled for implementation from 2025 to 2028.

The project will feature eight bridges and nine level intersections, designed to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow and seamless integration with the existing transport network.

As a key transport infrastructure project, the route is expected to enhance regional connectivity, establish a new economic corridor, and promote linkages among industrial parks and urban areas across Hung Yen Province and the wider Red River Delta region.
