Da Nang city in central Vietnam and the city of Le Havre in France are set to enhance cooperation across a range of key economic sectors, including urban planning and development, seaports, information technology, human resource training, tourism, culture, and arts.
This significant agreement was formalized as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a cooperative and friendly relationship between the two cities. The MoU was signed in Le Havre on October 6 by Mr. Tran Nam Hung, Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, and Mr. Édouard Philippe, Mayor of Le Havre.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Hung introduced Le Havre officials to Da Nang's new urban development spaces, investment potential, and its strategic direction to develop into a smart, innovative, and sustainable city.
In addition to signing the cooperation agreement, the Da Nang delegation also held working sessions with businesses and investors in Le Havre, focusing particularly on the maritime industry, logistics, and education and training sectors.
Da Nang affirmed its desire to promote deeper cooperation with French partners in industrial, commercial, innovation, startup, and the future development of an international financial center in Da Nang.
