Central Da Nang city attracted $333.3 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first eight months of 2025, including $225.9 million for 72 new projects, according to the municipal Department of Finance.
Meanwhile, 24 existing projects increased their capital by $86 million.
In August alone, the city granted licenses for 10 projects with a combined registered capital of $94.9 million, representing a nine-fold increase compared with the same period last year.
Alongside FDI, Da Nang also lured more than VND140.4 trillion ($5.3 billion) in domestic investment between January and August. This included VND46 trillion ($1.73 billion) from 72 new projects, while 27 existing projects added over VND94.4 trillion ($3.56 billion).
Authorities said the strong performance reflects the city’s growing appeal as a regional hub for investment and its supportive policies for both domestic and foreign investors.
