Central Da Nang city has been awarded a bronze prize in the Human CentriCity category of the Seoul Smart City Prize, according to the city’s Department of Information and Communications.

The awards ceremony was held as part of the World Cities Summit Mayors Forum 2023 held in South Korea’s capital Seoul on September 25 and 26.

The Seoul Smart City Prize is aimed at promoting an innovative, comprehensive smart city model, shortening the digital gap in the era of Industry 4.0.

The jury panel included experts from all fields in smart cities, including artificial intelligence (AI), data management, e-government, social organizations, non-governmental organizations, international development cooperation, and urban planning and development.

In 2019, Da Nang was honored with the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) Smart City Award 2019 at the ASOCIO International Smart City Summit 2019.
