Da Nang establishes digital transformation and strategic technology center

The People’s Committee of Da Nang province in central Vietnam has approved the establishment of the Da Nang Digital Transformation and Strategic Technology Center (DDS).

The new center is formed through the merger of three existing units: the Da Nang Center for Information Technology and Communications; the Da Nang Center for Information Technology Infrastructure Development; and the Center for Information Technology and Communications of former Quang Nam province (which has been merged into Da Nang since July 1, 2025).

Scheduled to begin operations on October 1, 2025, the DDS will serve as a hub for providing services and infrastructure to advance the development of digital government, the digital economy, and a digital society in the central city.

The center’s mandate includes supporting the Director of the city Department of Science and Technology in research, non-business activities, and service provision related to digital transformation, infrastructure, and IT applications.

It will also manage information infrastructure assets at the concentrated Information Technology Park, contributing to the development of a smart government and a comprehensive digital ecosystem at the local level.
