The export of cameras, camcorders and components recorded the highest growth among exported products in the first five months of the year with $3.58 billion, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 59.3%.
In May, the export revenue of this product earned over $656 million.
China remains the biggest import market with a turnover of over $2.2 billion in the five-month period, up 96% year-on-year. It was followed by the US with over $419 million, soaring 23% compared to the same period last year.
Last year, export of cameras, camcorders and components was valued at over $7.6 billion, up 19.5% year-on-year. It ranked third among export products in terms of growth, following fruits and vegetable, and rice.
