The FDI Connect Forum 2026, themed “Towards Sustainable Global Supply Chains”, was held last week in northern Bac Ninh province, establishing a space for dialogue and direct, substantive connection between FDI enterprises with Vietnamese businesses, localities and ministries and agencies.
The event was jointly organised by the provincial People’s Committee and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), aimed to support Vietnam’s efforts to achieve the 2026 GDP growth target of at least 10%, transform the country into a regional high-tech hub and reaffirm Bac Ninh’s role as a leader in FDI attraction.
The two-day forum served as a space for strategic dialogue where stakeholders shared visions, mobilised resources and explored pathways for deeper integration into global supply chains. It also conveyed Vietnam’s strong commitment to welcoming new waves of investment and partnering with businesses.
Participants discussed strategies for moving up in global value chains, from assembly to innovation; breakthroughs in industrial infrastructure; green and smart industrial ecosystems; and models of cooperation between FDI and local enterprises, among others.
Addressing the opening ceremony, VCCI Chairman Ho Sy Hung emphasized that the forum is not only an investment promotion event but also a strategic dialogue space, where economic stakeholders share visions, connect resources, and create the future for the global supply chain.
The forum is a message to affirm Vietnam's commitment to being ready to welcome a new wave of investment, accompanying businesses, and participating more deeply in the global supply chain, he said.
