Trillions of VND in economic violations and thousands of hectares of land violations were uncovered in 2022, according to the Government Inspectorate.
It conducted more than 8,500 administrative inspections and about 222,600 specialized inspections last year.
More than VND85.9 trillion ($3.6 billion) in economic violations and over 8,700 ha of land violations were uncovered.
Inspectors proposed administrative punishments on more than 3,500 organizations and 8,619 individuals, and transferred dossiers to the investigation agency to handle 451 cases.
They also proposed revoking nearly VND27 trillion ($1.14 billion) and 574 ha of land and handling the remaining 8,200 ha of land violations.
Localities found to have many violations include Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre, Lai Chau, Bac Ninh, Quang Nam, Hung Yen, and Ha Tinh.
