The Party Committee of Ha Tinh province in the Central Region has issued an action program to promote the rapid, sustainable, and effective development of the private economic sector in the province.

With a vision to 2045, the program outlines a future where Ha Tinh's private sector is strongly developed, proactively integrated, and deeply involved in both national and international production and supply chains.

The primary goal of the program is to have at least 35,000 active businesses by 2045. these enterprises are expected to contribute over 65% of the province's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and become the main pillar of its economy.

The program identifies eight key groups of solutions to foster private sector growth, beginning with innovating mindsets, raising awareness, inspiring confidence, and creating new momentum throughout society.

Additionally, the program focuses on improving institutions and policies to guarantee property rights, asset ownership, freedom of business, and fair competition for the private sector.

Currently, Ha Tinh is home to over 6,800 active businesses, with private enterprises accounting for more than 97%,  along with over 53,000 household businesses. This force is the main driver of the provincial economy, participating in diverse sectors such as fine handicrafts, agro-forestry-fishery processing, food, and industrial and rural industry products.

In parallel, the locality is intensifying its efforts to attract large domestic corporations to invest in its key sectors, including seafood, agricultural products, garments, and handicrafts.
