Industrial parks (IPs) in northern Hai Duong province had attracted $293.1 million in FDI this year as of September 11, exceeding the annual target by 46.6 per cent, according to the provincial Management Board of IPs.
The province granted investment licenses to 32 FDI projects in the period with total registered investment capital of $187.1 million, and permitted 21 others to increase their investment by a total of $106 million.
IPs attractive to many foreign investors include An Phat 1, Luong Dien-Cam Dien, and Lai Cach.
Projects have mostly come from China, South Korea, Japan, and Singapore.
IPs in the province have so far attracted 265 FDI projects from 23 countries and territories with total investment of $5.17 billion. Average occupancy stands at 80 per cent.
The province targets having 33 IPs on a total area of 5,661 ha in the 2021-2030 period and 61 industrial clusters on 3,209 ha.
