The Hai Phong City People’s Committee plans to build two high-tech industrial clusters as part of the northern port city’s master planning on developing industrial zones to 2025.
They include the Trang Due auxiliary industrial cluster and the Le Thien-Dai Ban industrial cluster, covering 58.8 ha and 59.33 ha, respectively, in An Duong district.
Their focus will be on areas such as high technology, mechanics, electronics equipment, electronics and computing, and supporting industries.
The People’s Committee asked the municipal Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant agencies to select investors to build the clusters and infrastructure in line with regulations.
There are currently five industrial clusters in Hai Phong, with an occupancy rate of 86 per cent.
City authorities had approved investment in six other industrial clusters as of June.
