The Economic Zone Authority of Hai Phong City in northern Vietnam has announced a Prime Ministerial decision, approving the Adjusted Master Plan for the Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone until 2045.

Accordingly, the total adjusted planning scale is approximately 22,540 ha. This includes two main areas: Area 1, covering about 1,088 ha, comprises Trang Due Industrial Parks 1, 2, and 3 within part of An Phong ward; Area 2, spanning approximately 21,452 ha, encompasses the entirety of Nam Trieu ward and parts of Thuy Nguyen, Hoa Binh, and Bach Dang wards.

The spatial development orientation is divided into four sub-zones.

Among them, Sub-zone 1 - The Northern Urban-Industrial Area of the Economic Zone, is designated for new urban development linked with industrial centers, tourism services, fishery services of Hai Phong city, and the fishing grounds of the Gulf of Tonkin.

Sub-zone 2 - The Dinh Vu Peninsula and Trang Cat Urban-Service-Industrial Area, serves as a maritime gateway, an industrial-seaport center, and a new growth driver for the city and the Economic Zone. This includes an international maritime service center, commercial centers, and financial services.

Sub-zone 3 - Cat Hai Island Industrial, Service, and Urban Area; this is a center for industry and logistics services connected to the Lach Huyen international seaport, featuring low-density urban services.

Sub-zone 4 - Trang Due Industrial Area; this is a multi-sector industrial development center along the industrial belt adjacent to National Highway 10.
