The Hanoi People’s Committee has approved the capital’s housing development plan for 2023, with a target of raising the total floor space to over 6.9 million sq m.
The average housing area per person is expected to be 28.2 sq m.
Approval of the plan will provide a foundation for Hanoi to proactively keep its housing development and real estate market under control, in association with embellishment, urban reconstruction, and resettlement towards a green, civilized, smart, and modern city.
In order to reach the targets, it will focus on reviewing and studying mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles and difficulties in implementing urban projects and encourage and support housing projects.
Vietnam’s capital will also accelerate the approval of investment plans for building social housing or housing for workers.
