The Mekong Delta’s Hau Giang province plans to build seven new industrial parks (IPs) in the 2021-2030 period on a total area of 1,741 ha, according to the Hau Giang Provincial People’s Committee.

The new IPs will bring the total area of IPs in the province to 2,233 hectares by 2030.

Many businesses and corporations have expressed an interest in developing infrastructure for the province’s IPs, such as the Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation, the Sao Mai Corporation, the Shinec JSC, the SPG - Hiep Phuoc - 620IDIC - VietNamivest Joint Venture, the TNG Holdings Investment Vietnam JSC, and the Phu Thai Holdings Group, among others. All have huge financial capacity and experience in investing in IP infrastructure.

The province currently has two IPs on 492 hectares in total. Occupancy stands at over 93.3 per cent, with 75 enterprises and 77 projects.
