Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Phan Van Mai has urged authorities in districts and communes to review and inspect construction projects to ensure they are implemented in line with regulations.
Those found to violate regulations must be strictly handled to ensure State management efficiency and project quality.
Inspectors from the municipal Department of Construction carried out nearly 70,000 inspections last year and found 490 violations.
In the first three months of this year, the department conducted 13,978 inspections and detected 91 violations, down 34.1 per cent year-on-year. Common violations include failing to follow licenses (47.3 per cent of violations) and building without a license (23.1 per cent).
