The price of leasing industrial land is predicted to increase 6-10 per cent annually in the northern region and 4-8 per cent in the southern region, according to analysts.
Demand from many sectors and enterprises from different countries have led to an increase in leasing prices in many localities.
Figures from CBRE Vietnam show that the occupancy rate at industrial parks in the north was estimated at 80.2 per cent in the third quarter of this year, up 0.4 percentage points compared to the same period last year. The occupancy rate at industrial parks in the south, meanwhile, stood at nearly 82 per cent.
During the first nine months, an additional 752,000 sq m of warehouses and 450,000 sq m of workshops in both the north and the south were put into operation.
The lease price for warehouses in the northern region was around $4.6 per sq m per month and in the south $4.8 sq m per month.
The price in the third quarter for industrial land was estimated at $131 per sq m per remaining term in the north, up 12 per cent year-on-year, and $189 per sq m per remaining term in the south, up 13 per cent.
