Industrial real estate in north attractive among foreign investors

Phan Nam -

Real estate ranks second in FDI attraction in Q1.

Industrial real estate in the northern region remains attractive to foreign investors, with rising demand for land at industrial parks from global producers, according to the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) at the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Earlier in the year, Foxconn signed a contract to lease 45 ha of land at the Quang Chau Industrial Park in northern Bac Giang province, with total investment of around $62.5 million.

Goertek, meanwhile, signed an MoU to lease 62.7 ha at the Nam Son - Hap Linh Industrial Park in neighboring Bac Ninh province, with capital of $305 million.

Real estate trading ranked second in FDI attraction in the first quarter, with total investment of $766 million. This shows that foreign investors remain interested in Vietnam’s investment environment, the FIA said.
