According to the Department of Overseas Labor (Ministry of Home Affairs), Japan continued to be the largest recipient of Vietnamese guest workers in the first ten months of 2025, attracting more than 55,000 workers.
In October alone, the total number of contracted Vietnamese workers going abroad reached 11,740, up 2.2% compared to the previous month, during which 11,487 workers were sent abroad under official contracts, with Japan receiving 5,345 workers, Taiwan (China) 5,045 workers, South Korea 298 workers, China 264 workers, Singapore 176 workers, Romania 20 workers, and others.
The Department of Overseas Labor evaluates that the above results show that Vietnam's overseas labor market is maintaining a stable momentum, despite the economic and political fluctuations in the world and the region. Service enterprises have proactively expanded the market, improved training quality, and managed workers, contributing to ensuring a stable human resource supply for key markets.
From now until the end of the year, with the results of sending workers abroad in recent months, the target of 130,000 workers going abroad in 2025 will be completed and may exceed the planned target. The Department of Overseas Labor will continue to strengthen guidance, inspection, and promote digital transformation in management to ensure that sending workers abroad is safe, transparent, effective, and sustainable.
