South Korea’s Lotte Group has announced that Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi began a trial opening on July 29, welcoming residents and tourists to visit, shop, and experience a wide range of services before its grand opening on September 22.
Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi spans a total floor area of 354,000 sq m, comprising a multifunctional commercial complex that includes a shopping center, a 5-star hotel, premium serviced apartments, and Grade A office space.
It also features the largest indoor aquarium in Hanoi, a mega supermarket, and a cinema, all designed by renowned architect Gordon Benoy, known for iconic shopping centers like Westfield London, ION Orchard Singapore, ICONSIAM Thailand, and Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
The complex also includes a Lotte Mart hypermarket, the KidZania area, a career-oriented zone for children, and Champion 1250, a sports playground designed for kids, both of which are being introduced for the first time in Vietnam. Meanwhile, The Culture Complex, a cultural hub consisting of a library, exhibition halls, and workshops, promises to offer a distinctive cultural and leisure space.
The Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi, the first overseas facility from Lotte World Aquarium, is a remarkable feature of the complex. Spanning two floors with a water volume of more than 3,400 tons, it is the largest indoor aquarium in Hanoi and features the largest Acrylic dome tank in Southeast Asia.
The shopping center, the main section of Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi, occupies seven floors, including five above ground and two underground levels, accounting for 60 per cent of the entire complex. Among the 233 brands present are 25 making their debut in Vietnam, 28 making their first appearance in Hanoi, and 32 flagship stores.
