Messe Frankfurt, one of biggest exhibition organizers in the world, has signed an MoU with the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency to organize new exhibitions with development potential in Vietnam.
Under the MoU, the company will explore the potential of trade fairs in the fields of textiles and garments and consumer goods.
This is the latest move by Messe Frankfurt in Southeast Asia, in a bid to expand its portfolio of trade fairs in Vietnam, which includes Secutech Vietnam for the security industry and Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City for the automotive aftermarket.
Mr. Wolfgang Marzin, Chairman and Director General of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, said Vietnam is an outstanding country in Asia where the garments and textiles sector, production, and other industries are developing strongly.
Vietnam has become an attractive destination for the diversification of supply chains in recent years. With its industrial targets by 2030, Messe Frankfurt recognizes the strong development potential in the country. Trade fairs not only reflect the strengths of local industries but also attract innovation and new production technologies from global corporations. This will help Vietnam in building a more open economy and contribute to the development of the local tourism, service, and hotel industries.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, said the cooperation will help Vietnam join global supply chains more deeply.
Messe Frankfurt currently manages more than 40 events in Asia, including eleven relating to the garment industry.
