Eco-buildings in sustainable urban development

Following the government’s commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050, CT Group and its ESG Council have been moving forward based on their scientific and technological expertise and community mission since the group’s establishment. Having noted the severe consequences in Vietnam from climate change, the CT Group has conducted several high-level measures to inspire Vietnam’s business community. Sustainable urban areas and eco-buildings are considered part of its overall ESG (environmental, social, governance) strategy.

CT Group has developed unique and sophisticated models covering the five criteria for urban sustainability: Business, Environment, Community, Technology, and Culture. Aside from initiatives that have won international prizes as innovative green buildings, such as Leman and Metro Star, other projects that specialized in 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), like DIYAS, have many additional social benefits, namely providing an incubator for the creativity of young communities.

Structures are designed with environmental harmony and the preservation of biological diversity in mind. CT Group uses low-emissions or recycled products to lessen its environmental impact. Compared to commensurate initiatives, electricity and water use are always up to 25 per cent lower.

To seize every opportunity presented by the technological revolution, the CT Group has been investing in innovation, continuing to participate in green technology, and working with major global enterprises. In particular, the group cooperates with dynamic economies such as Israel and Finland on research and application, using modern science to enhance urban quality and urban space for citizens.

The most compelling reason behind initiatives at the CT Group’s buildings is to create a decent living environment where people can elevate their daily life, allowing each individual to enjoy a home lifestyle brand.

Participating in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in the UK, the CT Group had the opportunity to connect with many worldwide environmental organizations and support the government’s commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050.

On October 13 and 14, the “Vietnam Eco Buildings Week 2022” chaired by the Ministry of Construction in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), IEC Consulting, and other related organizations drew over 1,200 delegates. The guesses arrive from ministries, sectors, organizations, agencies, researchers, developers, project managers, and investors, gathering with domestic and international experts to connect and cooperate to identify solutions and action plans to promote eco-buildings.

At the event, CT Group served as both a sponsor and an active advocate for promoting Vietnam’s green and clean environment. It has been recognized for its significant contributions to green building development in Vietnam over the last 30 years and has also been gaining a great deal of attention and backing from international organizations.
