Over 2,600 organizations and individuals violating land regulations

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment conducted 1,400 land inspections over last three years.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) has said it carried out over 4,700 inspections over the past three years, including nearly 1,400 inspections relating to land use and management.

It uncovered more than 2,600 organizations and individuals violating regulations.

Inspectors proposed administrative punishment for violators, with fines totaling over VND341 billion ($14.2 million).

They also proposed revoking nearly VND52.9 billion ($2.2 million) and 4,897 hectares of land involved in violations and ten mineral exploitation licenses.

The ministry said most violations relate to using land for inappropriate purposes, not using or delaying the use of allocated land, land encroachment, not implementing financial obligations, and not completing administrative procedures.
