Construction of a coastal road connecting the national road system to Lien Chieu port in central Da Nang city is expected to complete and open to traffic in 2025, according to the Da Nang Infrastructure Investment Project Management Board.
The project kicked off last September. Stretching 3 km and with six lanes, the project has total investment capital of VND1.2 trillion ($40 million). Of which, VND700 billion ($29.4 million) will come from the city’s budget and the remainder from the national budget.
By mid-September, some 46% of the investment capital has been disbursed.
The project aims to facilitate the development of a specialized transport route with strategic access to exploit the Lien Chieu port as well as enhance rapid and safe connection with the national road network and the urban transport network in the region.
It is also expected to form and develop the northern region of the central city, creating advantages in competitiveness and attracting investors to boost the city’s maritime economy.
