Hai Duong province adjusts capital’s general planning

According to a plan to adjust the general planning for Hai Duong city in northern Hai Duong province by 2040, the city will be developed with a focus on riverside urban areas, while two more goals have been added: becoming a green, smart city, and a city ready to respond to climate change. Its transport network will be developed towards increasing inter-regional connectivity, so that it becomes an important traffic hub in the Red River Delta.

Under Official Dispatches issued by the Prime Minister on March 10, the Mekong Delta’s Can Tho city and the two northern provinces of Hoa Binh and Hung Yen will convert the use of nearly 134 ha of rice land to non-agricultural land for the implementation of different projects. Can Tho is to implement a residential area project, Hoa Binh a new urban area project, and Hung Yen an industrial cluster project.
