The circular will come into effect from August 15 and specifically stipulates support for production land and job changes for ethnic minority people.

Online jobs session to be held for Vietnamese workers coming home from South Korea and Japan

An online jobs session for Vietnamese workers in South Korea and Japan returning home will be held on July 21 by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in cooperation with Hanoi, central Quang Nam province, and the Mekong Delta’s Dong Thap province. This will be an opportunity for local workers in South Korea and Japan to come home to stable employment and help reduce the number of Vietnamese living illegally in the two countries.

Vietnam’s workforce increased significantly in the second quarter as its economy recovered, especially in the service industry, which rose by 430,000 people compared to the previous quarter and nearly 354,000 people year-on-year. By the end of the second quarter, Vietnam’s workforce aged 15 and over was 51.6 million people.

120,000 jobs created in Hanoi in 1H

Nearly 119,000 jobs were created in Hanoi in the first half of 2022, representing 74.3 per cent of the annual plan and up 21.4 per cent year-on-year. In the second half of the year, the capital will continue to implement policies to support workers both in terms of loans as well as training to foster and improve vocational skills.
