Nonsan city in South Korea’s South Chungcheong province has opened a trade office in Ho Chi Minh City, the government’s online newspaper has reported.
The office will provide administrative and financial support to enterprises in terms of export and import activities and report on the local market situation.
Its opening is expected to boost the export of South Korean farm produce to Vietnam and elsewhere in Southeast Asia.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and South Korea reached nearly $87 billion last year, an increase of nearly $9 billion against 2021’s $78.1 billion, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
