Recently, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province held a ceremony to grant investment registration certificates to 14 projects in industrial parks in southern the province, including 12 foreign direct investment (FDI) and 2 domestic investment projects.
Among them, 8 projects are new investment projects with a total capital of nearly $278 million, including 1 domestic investment project worth VND892 billion (approximately $35 million) and 7 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total capital of nearly $243 million.
Additionally, six projects received investment certificates for capital increases, with a total additional investment of nearly $460 million. This includes 5 FDI projects with nearly $440 million and 1 domestic project worth VND494 billion (approximately $20 million).
These projects receiving investment registration certificates focus on key industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, electrical and electronic components, mechanical engineering, textiles, and fabricated metal product manufacturing.
Notably, none of the projects fall into categories that pose environmental pollution risks or involve labor-intensive industries. All projects meet advanced technology standards and align with Dong Nai’s investment attraction policies.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province, expressed his excitement about welcoming investors to launch projects in the province at the beginning of 2025. He emphasized that this marks a promising start for Dong Nai’s economic and social landscape in 2025.
Mr. Duc note that the provincial government is committed to maintaining an open-door policy, listening to investors, and actively addressing challenges to facilitate business operations and promote industrial growth.
In 2024, Dong Nai province attracted more than $1.5 billion in FDI and over VND144 trillion ($5.6 billion) in domestic investment. Currently, investors are actively disbursing capital for the construction of new factories and the expansion of production facilities.
