The Ministry of Transport has said that the government has prioritized allocating more than VND7 trillion ($300 million) to four projects in the Mekong Delta’s Vinh Long province by 2025, including upgrading National Highways No. 57 and 53, the My Thuan 2 Bridge project, and the My Thuan - Can Tho Highway. The 23-km My Thuan - Can Tho Highway is expected to be completed and opened in April 2023.
The Ministry of Transport will prioritize nearly VND15 trillion ($639.58 million) in medium-term public investment capital to implement a number of urgent traffic projects in northern Thanh Hoa province. These projects are expected to give a “push” to the province’s socio-economic development.
From now to 2025, in addition to accelerating the progress of existing projects, north-central Thanh Hoa province will prioritize investment in a number of key new traffic projects, including the Eastern Ring Road No. 3 with total capital of more than VND3.3 trillion ($141.9 million). It has been calculated that 43 key road traffic projects will be implemented in the province and completed before 2025, with total investment of VND35 trillion ($1.5 billion).
National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue has spoken about the importance and implementation of a specific mechanism for five key national traffic projects submitted by the government to the NA on June 6. The projects are the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot, Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang, Ring Road No. 4 - Hanoi Capital Region, and Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City Expressways. He also said that these will be completed by 2025, creating a breakthrough in the country’s infrastructure.
