The government has approved a Ministry of Planning and Investment plan to add two industrial parks (IPs) in Ho Chi Minh City to the master plan on the development of IPs in Vietnam.
They are the Pham Van Hai 1 IP, on 379 ha, and the Pham Van Hai 2 IP, on 289 ha.
Meanwhile, the ministry will remove three IPs in the southern city from the master plan, including the Bau Dung IP in Cu Chi district, the Phuoc Hiep IP in Cu Chi district, and the Xuan Thoi Thuong IP in Hoc Mon district.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has 19 IPs and processing and export zones, of which 17 are in operation, attracting 1,665 projects with total registered investment of $12.5 billion.
The annual export revenue of these IPs and zones is estimated at $8 billion.
