As it continues to expand its flight network and connect Vietnam with various destinations around the world, Vietnam Airlines announced on March 12 that it will open new direct flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Munich, one of Germany’s largest cities, starting from October this year.
Flights will be conducted using Boeing 787 aircraft, guaranteeing environmental friendliness.
It will operate two flights a week between Hanoi and Munich, departing from Vietnam’s capital on Fridays and Sundays and from Munich on Mondays and Saturdays.
A single weekly flight will depart from Ho Chi Minh City on Mondays and return from Munich on Tuesdays. An additional flight will begin in December, leaving the southern city on Wednesdays and returning on Thursdays.
With the addition of this new destination, Vietnam Airlines now operates four flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Frankfurt and Munich in Germany.
Tickets to Munich are now available on Vietnam Airlines’ official website and mobile app and at ticket agencies.
As Germany’s third-largest city, Munich is not only an economic, cultural, and transportation center but also has a well-developed tourism industry. It is renowned for its rich and ancient history, boasting numerous architectural landmarks blending both old-world charm and modernity. It is also famous for the world-renowned Oktoberfest beer festival, held annually in October.
