PM approves construction of expressway through Dong Thap and Tien Giang provinces

The Prime Minister has signed Decision No. 769/QD-TTg approving the construction of the Cao Lanh - An Huu Expressway, first phase, with a length of 27.43 km through the Mekong Delta’s Tien Giang and Dong Thap provinces and investment of nearly VND5.9 trillion ($253 million) from the State budget. Once completed in 2027, the expressway will be part of a horizontal axis and expressway and highway network in the Delta.

The night-time economy attracts tourists and creates specialties for localities, so the more diverse the economy is the more likely it will encourage tourists to stay longer and stimulate spending. Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has signed a Resolution on improving the efficiency of land management and use. The land price bracket will be removed and a higher tax rate imposed on users of more than one land area, owners of more than one house, land speculators, those using land late, and those abandoning land. The resolution also specifies six groups of tasks and solutions, such as completing regulations on land allocation, land leases, and changes to land use purpose.
