Vietnam’s total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the first two months of 2026 exceeded VND1.23 quadrillion ($47.3 billion), up 7.9% compared to the same period last year, according to the National Statistics Office.
Retail sales of goods accounted for 76.4% of the total revenue, equivalent to VND945.3 trillion ($36 billion), up 7.8% year-on-year.
Travel service revenue totaled VND15 trillion ($572 million), up 12.2% from a year earlier, supported by growth in domestic and international tourism.
Revenue from accommodation and food services reached an estimated VND149.2 trillion ($5.69 billion), accounting for 12.1% of the total and rising 9.1% year-on-year.
In February alone, total retail sales of goods and consumer services was estimated at VND613.7 trillion ($23.43 billion), a year-on-year increase of 8.5%.
