The Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Directorate of Market Surveillance has opened an exhibition room entitled “Understanding Authentic Products - Avoiding Counterfeit Products” in response to Anti-Counterfeit Goods Day on November 29.

Over 600 products in nine fields, including chemicals and cosmetics; fashion; footwear; household and consumer goods; office supplies; beverages; and pharmaceuticals and medical equipment are on display. Visitors will receive guidance from the Directorate of Market Surveillance on recognizing counterfeit goods and where genuine products are sold in Vietnam.

The highlight of the exhibition is a display of a group of six categories with over 50 products from Japanese businesses provided by the Japan Patent Office.

The exhibition at 62 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, runs until November 30.

The Directorate of Market Surveillance has run the program since 2021 with the aim of raising public awareness about the fight against counterfeit and fake goods and their harm to national economic development.
