Northern Bac Giang province attracted a total of $125.75 million in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ocbober, equating to 78.1% of the same period last year, the Voice of Vietnam reported.
This includes nine newly approved FDI projects with a registered capital of $91.98 million.
Additionally, three domestic projects and 7 foreign investment projects saw capital increases, with supplementary capital of VND116 billion (nearly $4.6 million) and $29.13 million, respectively.
Cumulatively for 10 months in 2024, the province attracted over $1.8 billion, accountring for 81.8% of the figure recorded in the same month of last year. This includes 21 newly approved domestic direct investment (DDI) projects with a registered capital of VND12.9 trillion ($509 million), representing a 2.3-fold increase year-on-year; and 63 FDI projects with a registered capital of $459.18 million, equivalent to 30.5% of the same period last year.
Furthermore, 20 domestic projects saw capital adjustments with a supplementary registered capital of VND2.74 trillion ($108 million), marking a 1.5-fold increase; while 58 FDI projects saw a total capital increase of $754.38 million, nearly doubling compared to the same period last year.
Cumulatively, the province now has 1,380 domestic investment projects and 613 FDI projects with registered capital of over VND116 trillion ($4.56 billion) and $12.5 billion, respectively.
