The Hanoi Employment Service Center, in collaboration with employment service centers from nine other provinces and cities in northern Vietnam —Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Lạng Son, Hai Phong, and Phu Tho—organized a hybrid (in-person and online) job exchange on March 18.

The event aimed to strengthen the labor supply-demand connection across these localities.

According to the organizers, the joint recruitment event across the 10 localities attracted over 200 enterprises seeking to fill a total of 86,321 positions.

Bac Ninh recorded the highest demand, far exceeding other areas with 57,226 job openings. Other provinces also reported significant recruitment needs, including Thai Nguyen (9,312 positions), Ninh Binh (7,061), Quang Ninh (5,005), Phu Tho (4,220), Hung Yen (1,450), and Hanoi (1,334).

The highest demand at the fair was for unskilled labor, accounting for more than 56,000 vacancies. Over 17,000 positions required a college or university degree, while the remainder targeted vocational school graduates and technical workers.

Production workers were the most sought-after group, with total recruitment needs exceeding 58,000. Additionally, enterprises sought more than 7,500 garment and textile workers, nearly 5,400 technical personnel, approximately 5,000 component manufacturing workers, and 1,500 engineers.

Other roles in high demand included mechanical technicians, logistics and warehousing staff, maintenance workers, and quality control (QC) specialists.
