Authorities in the Mekong Delta’s Can Tho city have urged the investor of the Tran Hoang Na Bridge spanning the Can Tho River to accelerate construction and complete the project before December 31.
According to the city’s management board of ODA projects, the completed workload has reached over 88.8 per cent.
The arched bridge, with three steel-reinforced concrete spans, has a total length of 820 meters and a width of 23 meters, with four lanes and a speed limit of 60 kph.
With total investment capital of VND791 billion ($32.95 million), sourced from official development assistance (ODA) funds, the project began in September 2020.
Once fully operational, it is expected to help enhance urban transport connectivity and ease congestion during peak hour.
