Authorities in central Da Nang city accompany and are willing to support FDI enterprises in dealing with difficulties and obstacles emerging during operations and the implementation of investment procedures, Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang City People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh has said.
Speaking at a recent meeting on supporting and guiding FDI enterprises with investment procedures, Deputy Chairman Minh said these enterprises have made important contributions to the city’s socio-economic development, particularly in manufacturing, imports and exports, and job generation.
The city attracted FDI of nearly $177 million in the first ten months of this year.
It has attracted 1,016 FDI projects to date with total registered investment of over $4.2 billion. Projects are mainly in the fields of services, trade, manufacturing of equipment, machinery, and components, garments, and information technology.
Japan is the biggest investor in the city, with over 230 projects and capital of more than $1 billion, accounting for 26 per cent of its total foreign investment.
Co-organized by the city’s Business Support Center, the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Investment Promotion and Support Agency on November 28, the meeting attracted the participation of representatives from nearly 300 FDI enterprises in the city.
