The Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone of central Nghe An province has announced that the first "Job Fair" of 2025 will be held at the VSIP Industrial Park in Hung Tay Commune, Hung Nguyen District,  on February 8.

Nearly 20 businesses from the VSIP Industrial Park and other businesses in Hung Nguyen District have registered to recruit 36,000 general laborers and over 4,000 trained workers. The majority of these businesses are in industries such as electrical, electronics, optics, mechanical engineering, and garment manufacturing.

It is expected that around 3,000 workers from the provincial capital of Vinh City and other districts and towns in Nghe An Province, as well as students from universities, colleges, and vocational schools in the province, will attend the job fair.

According to statistics from the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, Nghe An currently has 1.6 million workers. However, more than 780,000 of these workers have been employed outside the province, including approcimately 80,000 working abroad.

This large number of workers seeking employment outside the province poses significant challenges to the provincial labor market, especially with the impending operationalization of several large FDI projects that will require hundreds of thousands of workers.

Currently, there are about 16,000 businesses operating in the province, with an annual demand for labor of approximately 50,000 workers. In addition to the general labor force, there is an increasing demand for trained and high-quality labor in Nghe An.
