Hanoi hosting international exhibition on machine tools and metalworking

Over 140 exhibitors from 17 countries and territories attending October 11-13 MTA HANOI 2023 expo.

More than 140 domestic and foreign exhibitors from over 17 countries and territories are displaying products at the 9th International Precision Engineering, Machine Tools and Metalworking Exhibition & Conference (MTA HANOI 2023), which opened in Hanoi on October 11.

Exhibitors mainly come from the US, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, China, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), Thailand, and India.

They include international enterprises operating in various fields, such as automation technology, cutting and machining tools, factory equipment / auxiliary and support equipment, material storage and processing, measurement and testing technology, metal cutting machinery, sheet metal forming machinery, prototyping systems and software, and surface and heat treatment and welding technology.

The three-day expo introduces advanced technologies and solutions to meet investment needs in equipment and machinery.

It also creates opportunities to link international suppliers with local businesses in the field.

In particular, human resources in the mechanical industry will have the chance to be updated on the latest trends via a series of workshops held on the sidelines of the expo. Workshops will focus on key issues such as semiconductor chip production technology, digital transformation, and the application of AI and IoT in production.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry Nguyen Chi Sang said Vietnam’s mechanical market has developed remarkably.

Export and import turnover of machinery, equipment, tools, and other spare parts reached $19 billion in the first quarter of this year, figures from the General Statistics Office show.
