The People’s Council of southern Tay Ninh Province has approved a list of four important and urgent transport projects to be prioritized during the 2026–2030 period.

The largest project is the Long An – Tan Ninh connection axis, with a total investment of about VND20.746 trillion ($795 million). The main route will be approximately 74.3 km long, starting at the Tan An Ring Road and ending at National Highway 22 in Ben Cau Commune.

Preparations for investment and land clearance are scheduled for 2026–2027, while construction will take place from 2027–2031. The route is expected to shorten travel time and logistics costs while linking the province’s development centers with its western areas and border gates.

Another major project involves building three bridges across the Can Giuoc, Vam Co Dong, and Vam Co Tay rivers along provincial road DT.827E, which connects Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh and the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap. The project has a total investment of VND4.797 trillion (over $184 million), including about VND4.060 trillion (nearly $156 million) in South Korean ODA funding and VND736 billion ($28.3 milion) in counterpart capital.

Alongside the bridge construction, Tây Ninh has also included investment in the remaining sections of DT.827E in the priority list. This part covers about 19.5 km with a total investment of VND7.941 trillion ($288.3 million). Completing these sections will ease pressure on National Highway 1 and its bypass, while expanding connectivity between urban, industrial, and service areas along the corridor.

The fourth project is the construction of provincial road DT.818, from National Highway N2 to DT.838. This route is identified as a key connector between Long An and Tan Ninh, linking industrial zones and urban areas with the Moc Bai International Border Gate.

Investment in the missing section will shorten travel distance and time, reduce transport costs, and provide an additional connection from development centers to the border area.

Together, these four projects are expected to gradually form Tay Ninh’s transport network. The Long An – Tan Ninh axis and ĐT.818 will create connections between development hubs and border gates, while the three bridges and remaining sections of DT.827E will complete the inter-regional corridor linking Ho Chi Minh City with Tay Ninh and Dong Thap.
